Motion

This week's assignment was to change the shutter speed with our cameras and to experiment with the concept of motion. In my photos, I tried to exemplify the concept by taking pictures of glossy objects or objects with light to get nice results. Also, the ones that turned out well that didn't deal with light or glossiness included the lacrosse stick and the rubik's cube.

  1. Good work here Kyle. I especially like you're third shot, where you incorporated light into the photo. Adding different elements like that into these motions pictures can really help keep things fresh and interesting.

  2. I really like these pictures kyle. you create cool composition in each one through your use of motion with the camera. I particularly like number 6 because it seems as if the racket itself is moving.

  4. the one of the lacrosse stick is my favorite. the shadows and lines in it all come together to show movement in an artistic way. based on your pictures i think you would be really good at light painting and should try it

  7. Great pictures! I really enjoy the last one because it creates a hectic and unstable mood, as if too much is happening at once, even though their is no activity happening in the frame. I think your technique is really effective because people often feel this exact mood in high school, even when there is nothing going on.

  9. These photos have a nice visuals. Some of them feel more like paintings than photos which is a hard thing to accomplish.

  10. I really like all of your photos. They are all very unique and have a distinct style. I especially like your third photo with the lights. I appreciate like the simplicity and brightness of the photo and the stretched out shape of the light.

  11. I really like how you used black in white in some of your photos, it helps to bring out the blurriness of each photo.
