This week's assignment was for us to explore depth in a photograph. This is usually created with the use of leading lines, and will be visually appealing to a viewer's eye. This is often seen in photographs in roads or pathways, that help guide the eye. For some of these shots, I had to get a unique perspective in order to take a pictures that express depth in subjects that we normally don't see depth in.
This is great work. You used black and white really well here; creating a melancholy mood for your shots. Everything has depth and is composed nicely.
ReplyDeletei really enjoyed your photos. i especially like the way you took some things that people may see regularly and made them in very interesting perspectives.
ReplyDeletekyle these are really interesting photos; a twist on traditional photography with an experimental vibe. you took normally composed photos of depth but with the camera facing up or sideways, making the fourth photo of the lockers look like a city building, with the light as the sun and clouds drifting in its reflection to the right. i also like how much contrast is in your photos, the first and second being composed very well, and the darkness giving it an unnerving feeling. very well done
ReplyDeletei like all of your pictures kyle. they are not only good examples of depth but also leading lines. The black and white was a nice touch. My favorite was the library lines because of the lighting and detail in the front and simplicity in the back. I would siggest trying to do depth without leading lines to change it up.
ReplyDeleteI really like your photos. They all really show leading lines. I think your first photo is my favorite because it is really interesting and very different.
ReplyDeleteI really love picture 4 because it mimics a building baking in the sun. At first I thought thats what it was but when i looked closer i realized it was a locker. Really nice twist, keeps things interesting.
